Cookie Policy
A transparent overview of how cookies and browser storage are utilized by TextMatchCut.
1. What Are Cookies and Browser Storage?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you browse. Browser storage (such as localStorage and sessionStorage) allows web applications to store key-value data directly in your browser without transmitting it with every HTTP request.
2. Currently Implemented Storage on TextMatchCut
We believe in radical transparency regarding what data is stored on your device. Below is an accurate audit of currently implemented storage:
- Essential UI Preferences (localStorage): Stores local client preferences (such as your chosen aspect ratio, cuts per second, or sound toggles). This data stays purely on your device and is never sent to our servers.
- Temporary Media Buffers (In-Memory): During video synthesis and procedural audio playback, frame buffers exist exclusively in volatile browser RAM and vanish immediately when the tab is closed.
3. Third-Party Cookies and Rewarded Advertising
TextMatchCut is 100% free with no subscriptions or mandatory user signups. To maintain servers and hosting infrastructure, video generation is supported via a short rewarded ad.
Third-party advertising networks may set standard advertising cookies to prevent ad fraud, verify rewarded view completion, and ensure delivery integrity in compliance with applicable privacy frameworks.
4. How to Manage, Block, or Delete Cookies in Your Browser
You have complete control over browser storage. You can configure your browser to reject all cookies, clear cookies upon browser close, or purge localStorage at any time.
Important Note: Blocking cookies will NOT break the core TextMatchCut video rendering algorithm. All video frames and procedural sound effects run client-side in browser memory via standard HTML5 Canvas and Web Audio APIs.
